Kern County Mental Health's resource center for adult mental health consumers and community members interested in or seeking recovery from mental illness and those seeking recovery from mental illness and substance abuse. A variety of peer-led support groups, enrichment classes, socialization activities and volunteer opportunities are available to enhance recovery. Most activities are free. I was very depressed and felt very lost, everyone there really helped me by education, peer support, friendship and by finally able to volunteer my time. This organization helped me from the beginning of my depression to gratefully the end of it. I would reccomend this to anyone who is in any type of mental illness for understnding and friendship
